Medway Ports operates a vessel agency office based in Sheerness and Chatham.

Representing the major fruit shipping lines and importers, together with containers and dry cargo agencies of steel, scrap, forest products and vehicles, all customer requirements can be arranged including:

  • Arranging a berth, pilots, tugs, boatmen and labour
  • Liaising with Customs, Immigration, Port Health, Rural Payments Agency (DEFRA) and other statutory bodies
  • Ship and Crew's port needs
  • Keeping all parties advised of ship and cargo status
  • Customs Clearance
  • Arranging haulage for onward delivery and collection

Medway Ports Vessel Agency has a staff of six, with over 100 years of expertise between them.
