The Port of Sheerness is one of the UK's leading car handling terminals, with around 400,000 units crossing the quays each year.

Sheerness has a current total of 260 acres of car compound areas linked to the port.

Key customers include:

  • Peugeot Citroen (through their logistics arm Gefco UK Ltd)
  • VW Group (which includes the VW, Audi, SEAT and Skoda brands)
  • Subaru
  • Daihatsu
  • Porsche
  • Honda

The port has also developed an expertise in the value added sector, including the full range of pre-delivery inspection (PDI) operations and other support services from paintshop to promotional work, which take place at the Automotive Services facility at Cullet Drive, Queenborough.

Sheerness has the ability within a single company to offer a full range of services including stevedoring, landing, park management, customs clearance, PDI, valet, painting and body shop, and fleet and promotional work.
