Chatham Dock handles Wind Turbine Blades

For Immediate Release - 07 April, 2008

The first of 78 wind turbine blades for a new 26 turbine wind farm at Romney Marsh in Kent, arrived at Chatham Dock on Monday 2nd June 2008.

The 44m long blades, which are manufactured in Germany, were discharged from two ships over the weekend using two 100 tonne capacity cranes. The blades were then moved by road to Romney Marsh.
